Laura holds an M.F.A. in Dance from NYU Tisch School of the Arts and became certified as an Alexander Technique teacher in 1992 (ACAT, AmSAT). For over fifteen years she has been on the faculty of Brooklyn College, Theater Department, where she teaches the Alexander Technique in the M.F.A. Acting Program and serves as a movement coach on productions. Laura also has a private Alexander practice in New York City, where along with performing artists she works with a wide variety of the population, from those suffering from chonic pain to those seeking an increased sense of balance, poise and presence. She loves the vibrancy of the city and also holds a deep love of nature, and the open expanse of sea and sky.
